Salary: £29,093.47 per annum (£15.54 per hour raising to £15.70per hour) Location: Midlothian Service: Homelessness Hours: Fixed term contract - 36 hours per week Shifts: Various, day shift

Who we are looking for

As part of our work to transform the delivery of our services, we are looking to recruit a team leaders who will become part of the Service Leadership Team. This is an exciting time to work for Care Support Scotland, and be part of the MTAP service.

We are looking for individuals who have a range of experience working within Social Care, Housing and Homelessness services or Community Learning & Development. Given the complexity of the services we deliver, we are keen to hear from individuals who have an aspiration approach to service delivery for the people supported by our services.

You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service; this might include evenings, weekends and nights. There is an expectation, that you are highly visible within the services you are responsible for.

Experience/Skills
Essential:
  • Experience working in a social care
  • Experience in leading and managing staff teams over multiple sites
  • Experience in delivering change and improvement work across whole services
  • Experience in supporting individuals with a range of complex needs
Desirable:
  • Experience working within a hostel or residential Child care setting
  • Experience working in a Trauma-informed Practice setting
  • Experience managing services that operate over 24/7
  • Experience in managing Community based services (Post 2)
Qualifications/Training:
Essential:
  • HNC & SVQ 3 in social care, nursing, community work or related field
Desirable:
  • Access to a car
  • SVQ 4 in social care or related field
  • SVQ in Management & Leadership
  • Training in Harm Reduction and Suicide prevention
