Your recruitment journey: step by step
To help you feel informed and confident in applying, here’s a breakdown of our recruitment process — and how we’ll support you at every stage.
1. Submit your application
You’ll start by submitting an application through our online portal. This could be a CV or an application form, depending on the role.
What to expect:
- You’ll get a confirmation email once your application is submitted.
- Our recruitment team will review applications after the closing date.
Tip: Make sure your CV or application is up to date and tailored to the role you’re applying for.
2. Application review and shortlisting
Our recruitment panel will carefully review each application to identify candidates whose skills and experience match the role.
What to expect:
- If you’re shortlisted, we’ll get in touch to invite you to the next stage.
- If you’re not successful this time, we’ll still let you know by email.
3. Interview(s)
If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be invited to an interview: either online or in person. You might meet the hiring manager, team members, or both.
What to expect:
- We’ll give you all the details ahead of time: the format, who you’re meeting, and what to prepare.
- Interviews are a two-way conversation. We want to learn about you, and we welcome your questions too.
4. Assessments (for some roles)
For certain central roles, there may be an assessment – like a short case study, a task, or a presentation.
What to expect:
- Clear instructions and enough time to complete your task.
- A fair, inclusive process. We’ll accommodate any individual needs wherever possible.
5. Offer and pre-employment checks
If you’re successful, we’ll call you with the good news and send a formal offer by email.
What to expect:
- A written conditional offer outlining all the details.
- A request for documents to begin pre-employment checks – including PVG membership and proof of your right to work in the UK.
6. Welcome to the team!
Once you’ve accepted your offer, we’ll carry out the final checks and confirm your start date.
What to expect:
- A warm welcome!
- Ongoing communication from your manager or our People & Culture team to help you get ready for your first day.
We’re committed to making our recruitment process smooth, transparent and inclusive. And if you have any questions along the way, our recruitment team is here to help. Just get in touch by email or phone.
We’re looking forward to meeting you.

Not at all. We welcome people from all walks of life. Our friendly staff team includes former artists, lifeguards, retail workers and more. If you’re compassionate, adaptable, and interested in making a difference, you’ll fit right in.
Supportive, creative and always varied. Our team often says “no two days are the same”, and that’s part of the appeal. You’ll be surrounded by people who care deeply about their work and each other. It’s a place where people feel part of one big family.
Absolutely. If you’re motivated and eager to learn, we’ll support your career development every step of the way. Many of our team members have progressed into new roles over time, including Raymond. We’re a person-centred organisation, and that applies to our staff as much as the people we support. We know that when our team feels valued, they thrive. So we focus on keeping things supportive, positive, and fun — and making sure everyone feels like they’re part of something meaningful.
