A Season of Community and Connection
Polton Centre sits on quiet, peaceful grounds on the outskirts of Lasswade, offering temporary accommodation and support to adults preparing for independent living. It’s known as a calm, welcoming place to stay, and this summer, that sense of community was on full display.
Residents and staff came together for a series of relaxed, sociable activities throughout the summer, including movie nights, cooking by the fire pit, flower pounding and evenings spent chatting together in the lounge. It’s been a summer that shows exactly what community at Polton looks like: warm, inclusive and full of small moments that add up to something special.
Alongside the day-to-day support Polton provides, activities like these give residents the chance to build relationships, relax and enjoy time together outside of the support they receive. Whether gathered around the fire pit or settled in for a film, these get-togethers are a lovely reminder of the connections that make Polton feel like home for the people who stay there.
A huge thank you to the staff at Polton, whose care and dedication made this summer of activities possible, and to the residents who brought such warmth and energy to every event.
